If you're a fan of the property, you probably already know that the ThunderCats return to television courtesy of Cartoon Network. Although the series does not debut until within a week (Friday, July 29), network premiere episode screening at Comic-Con in Room 6A. My thoughts on the detection and the rear panel, hit the jump. [Warning: Spoilers ahead]
Bombastic drums and sparks shot selection ThunderCats logo big. The longer is the logo, plus the forecast is based. Then the release begins. A narrative quickly establishes the episode as a little help to those who can not be all that familiar with the mythology of the franchise (ie me). The episode wastes no time introducing key characters like Lion-O (Will Friedle), Cheetara (Emmanuelle Chriqui), and Tygra (Matt Mercer) to huge applause from the audience. Just a few minutes, it is clear that the series has a solid balance of action and humor.

thundercats-2011-tv-series-wallpaper-01The episode does a great job of establishing the conflicts Lion-O as an heir apparent who has a lot of potential and not mature enough for someone brandishing a weapon as powerful as the sword of omens. As I watched, I could not remember the similar conflict found earlier this summer by Thor Chris Hemsworth. If this is the ACT, one could say that Lion-O is Tygra Loki as Thor is.
After a fight between Lion-O and Tygra, the episode spends a little time and Wilykat Wilykit development, orphans, inevitably, will join forces with Lion-O. Soon after, the series provides some nuances of the company when Lion-O convinces those around him to end the tension that exists between the oppression of his people and the inhabitants of Earth third lizard. The type (or more, the cat) may be immature, but is light years Tygra and cooperation. in the department of compassion.
Halfway step further by establishing a great battle that eventually validate earlier statement Lion-O is that the technology exists and to defend against it, you must choose to understand rather than ignore it. The way forward, the battle (directed by an attack by thugs Mumm-Ra) speaks volumes about the kingdom of Leon-O, including his father, King Claudus. As heir to the throne, now the ball is squarely in the court Lion-O and applause broke out as a sword says his father died, and his fellow ThunderCats meets for the first time. "This is just the beginning," he says as the screen fades to black.
thundercats-2011-tv-series-wallpaper-04Obviously, I can not speak for those who have previous ties to the property as nostalgia can win on any iteration of the characters, regardless of quality. That said, given how much I enjoyed the episode, I feel safe in saying that Cartoon Network has successfully created a series Thundercats will attract a new generation of audience members while meeting most of the long-term fans process.
After the screening, producers Jelenice Ethan Spaulding and Michael discusses how ThunderCats came bringing a new generation of viewers. Cited voice actor Larry Kenney (Lion-O the original king and Claudus this series) and the sense of adventure found in the original and the two things that were more concerned with making more. Chriqui then spoke about the independence and strength Cheetara were the elements that attracted him to her character.
Then Kenney spoke and thanked the fans (and parents) to support the series and give you the opportunity to be part of the series and their memories of pop culture, not once but twice. As the panel is rushed for time, the artistic director Dan Norton closed things, taking briefly about the pressure they felt to bring a property dear to life as ThunderCats. As I said before, I think everyone involved has done a commendable job and I really enjoyed the episode, and we expect the output to the series on Cartoon Network.
