Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor dazzled Sunday night, while walking the ramp at the show couture designer Manish Malhotra said as a surprise sensation on the third day of the current week Synergy1 Couture Delhi, the capital.

Dressed in white, richly embroidered Lehenga backless red coat with gold adorned work, the actress opened the bridal collection of designer inspired by old world charm and majestic opulence of royalty that reigned in India during 1930-1940.

Actress Urmila Matondkar also made a rare appearance to show Manish.

The collection was a fusion of traditional and contemporary silhouettes with a touch of British influence.

"I have reinterpreted the style of 1930 and 1940 of the clothes in my designs. The collection had an outbreak of everything a couture garment should be. I thought it's time to move away from duplication and return to classic style with a glamorous look, "said Manish Malhotra.

The women wear including Ghag, lehengas, suits and saris and palatte ranged from cherry red and burgundy shades of mint green, turquoise blue, and off-whites.

Unlike other designers, Manish was the first to show both womenswear and menswear on the ramp at Couture Week underway.

The men's collection exhibited shervanis wear richly embroidered in shades of black, burgundy, navy, beige and gold.

"I also introduced a line of men use it because I thought why keep the bride and groom alone. They are so conscious of their style today as brides. It is time to have their due importance," said Manish.

Also present at the front row was actress Sonakshi Sinha, who earlier walked the ramp for Shantanu-Nikhil's show as well and Jas Arora Shweta Nanda.
