Synopsis:
Fahri described as an Indonesian student who tried to reach his master's degree at the University of Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. Life Fahri chased by a target because his family has sacrificed everything, including his grandfather's legacy fields, so that he can go to school in Egypt. Fahri trying to meet the targets depicted in the map of his life, struggling against the hot-dust of Egypt and the lack of funds. Fahri was determined to finish his master's in two years, the doctoral program in four years, and four years later became professor.
Fahri also has a target to marry a woman who shalehah to perfect his religion when he completed his master's thesis. And the date gets closer. Unfortunately Fahri who live 'straight' hard close to the woman, although there are some women that are around the story of his life.
There Maria Girgis (Carissa Putri), a neighbor of the flats which are Christian Copts but admire Islam and enjoyed reading the Qur'an, even memorized the letters of Mary. Not only Islam, Maria also admire Fahri who later turned into love. Unfortunately the love that just spilled at his diary.
There are also compatriots Fahri, Nurul (Melanie Putria) only child of an East Java clerics who are also studying in Al Azhar. Nurul is smart and beautiful, also chairman Wihdah, really love Fahri, but never had the courage to express his love or give signals. Similarly, Fahri who put the heart at Nurul but feel inferior because he was only child of poor farmers.
Then there Noura (Zaskia Adya Mecca), Fahri neighboring flat front, beautiful women who always tortured by his father, Bahadur. Fahri who empathize with Noura Noura eventually help her father escape from the ordeal with the help of Mary and Nurul. Noura is initially portrayed as a virtuous woman, eventually became the antagonist in this film, after accusing Fahri raped Noura. The allegations brought Fahri experience 'adventures' with law enforcement officials in Egypt, including prison.
One again, the most special girl. Fahri knew him in the metro. At that Fahri defended Islam on charges of alleged conservative and rigid. Aisha (Rianti Cartwright), Turkish-German girl bloody Palestinian, had fallen in love with Fahri. And Fahri could not lie to his heart.
Who Fahri will anchor his heart? Can he lead all the love and the problems that go with it by sticking firmly to Islam who believed?
