The Seven Kingdoms of the West are experiencing a population boom. On the heels of the news that Stephen Dillane and Carice van Houten has joined the second season of HBO Game of Thrones, another actor supposedly fills the last major role again next season.

An HBO spokeswoman confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the action vet Liam Cunningham joins the series, as first reported by EW.

Cunningham plays Seaworth Davos, a former smuggler who earned the nickname "Onion Knight" for its history of smuggling of onions, among other things. He is a knight and becomes a great supporter and confidant of Lord Stannis Baratheon (Dillane).

The Irish actor credits for film and television back to the 1990s. He appeared in Camelot Starz and acted in the BBC One series, the marginalized. His resume includes the 2010 film Clash of the Titans, The Wind That Shakes the Barley, and Dog Soldiers.

Cunningham is repped by Management 360 and Sarah Camlett Independent Talent Group.

A Game of Thrones is based on the Song of Ice and Fire novels by the author to George RR Martin.
