AP Government on Tuesday issued a GO on the rise in ticket prices for independent films in theaters across the state. AC theaters rates have increased by 10 Rs and theaters cooling air for 5 rupees.
According to the new prices, types of balcony ticket / box rose from Rs 50 to 60 and tickets are priced at Rs 25 before, now sell for 30 rupees. The hike came into effect immediately.
Large producers have been demanding the government to increase prices for some time, while the small film producers have opposed it from the commercial cinema can fail in the BO. Let's wait and see how moviegoers will react in this regard.
