Murdoch said Brooks, who is now head of News International, part of the Murdoch media empire, will continue to lead despite pressure from officials of his resignation.

Tabloid News of the World faces charges of hacking the phone of a missing 13-year-old girls in 2002, deleting messages and interfering with police activity.

On Tuesday, British Prime Minister David Cameron condemned the accusations and demanded an investigation.

Murdoch said the company will comply with the investigation.

News of the World also has previously been sued by celebrities, politicians and athletes to the demands of piracy phone. The company has apologized and offered to solve some of these cases.

Scandal is a significant threat to the Murdoch media empire, which is currently in the process of planning a coup British Sky Broadcasting (BSY_).

Until last week, the offer was believed to be as good as it has, but regulators British media said on Wednesday that News Corp. is evaluating whether it is able to have a broadcasting license.
