He put on a helmet and flight suit and landed a Sea King helicopter in the water. Then put the life jackets and paddled for all he was worth a dragon boat race.
This was not her grandmother's real journey - but it was a day of active fun for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and who ignored the rain and made the most of their time in the smallest province in the country on Monday.
With the crowd in Prince Edward Island seeing yours, William appeared to successfully run a mock emergency landing while piloting the Sea King in the water near the Dalvay By-The-Sea Cottage, slowly taxiing to along before taking off again.

Before turning the microphone over to William, Duke Ghiz offered some marriage advice based on his own "five glorious years" of marriage to his wife, Dr. Kate Ellis Ghiz, who was with the Duchess on stage.
"HRH is very important to remember that Kates always right," said Ghiz.
He also invited the couple to return to Prince Edward Island 2014 to attend the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown Conference, which helped spawn the Confederacy.
After the high-level meeting of the Sea King, the royal couple took part in a race head to the dragon's head.

Vanlingen Cari, 54, had traveled from Halifax to claim its place alongside Willis and Devoe. Said a woman who lived nearby brought homemade cookies and jam the night Sunday night and then returned with new cinnamon buns in the early hours of Monday morning.
Asked about their motivation to camp overnight for a glimpse of Will and Kate, she sighed, her eyes bright.
"I've always looked like a fairy tale and I wanted to be the princess," he said. "Kate is amazing. She is so down-to-earth, not as "princessy" as I thought it would be. "
